Vectra Networks, the leader in real-time detection of in-progress cyber-attacks, today announced it won multiple Stevie® Awards in The 13th Annual American Business Awards (ABA) program last week, including earning the highest honor, the Gold Stevie Award, in the Tech Startup of the Year awards category.
The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S. are eligible to submit nominations. Nicknamed the “Stevies” for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners during a gala banquet last week. More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
In addition to winning the Gold Stevie Award as the top tech startup of the year, Vectra Networks’ S-series Sensor also earned the Silver Stevie Awards in the Technical Innovation of the Year and New Product or Service of the Year – Software Security Solution awards categories. Finally, Vectra Networks earned the Bronze Stevie Award for the Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year (up to 2,500 employees) awards category. The award winners were selected by more than 200 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process.
“We are extremely impressed with the quality of the entries we received this year. The competition was intense and every organization that won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “To those outstanding individuals and organizations that received Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Awards, the judges and I are honored to celebrate your many accomplishments. You are setting a high standard for professionals nationwide.”
Vectra delivers a new class of advanced persistent threat (APT) defense delivering real-time detection and analysis of active network breaches. Its technology picks up where perimeter security leaves off by providing deep, continuous analysis of both internal and Internet-bound network traffic to automatically detect all phases of a breach as attackers attempt to spy, spread, and steal within a network.
“The American Business Awards are the premier business awards in the U.S., and we are honored to have earned multiple recognitions from this prestigious awards program,” said Mike Banic, Vectra Networks vice president of marketing. “Vectra is differentiated in the industry with its unique combination of data science, machine learning and behavioral analysis to automatically detect malicious behavior in a network. All detections are correlated to show an attack in context and the highest risks are prioritized so security analysts can address the highest business risks quickly, rather than spending valuable time sifting through thousands of alerts.”
Stevie Awards are conferred in six programs: the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards, the German Stevie Awards, The American Business Awards, The International Business Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service. Stevie Awards competitions receive more than 10,000 entries each year from organizations in more than 60 nations. Honoring organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them, the Stevies recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide.
