Vectra® Networks, Inc., the leader in automated threat management, today announced it has been named “Most Innovative Emerging Company” in Dark Reading’s Best of Black Hat Awards. Winners were recognized during an awards ceremony held in conjunction with Black Hat USA, being held this week in Las Vegas.
This inaugural awards program aims to recognize companies that present innovative thinking about IT security, offer products that have been proven to make an impact on enterprise customers, and demonstrate strong evidence of leadership in the security industry.
The “Most Innovative Emerging Companies” category identified companies that have been in business for three to six years and whose charter, products, and customer feedback indicate the potential to change the way enterprises approach information security problems.
“We chose Vectra as the winner because their solution helps prioritize threats for your organization specifically, can reduce attacker dwell time, and do so with a lightweight solution,” wrote Tim Wilson, editor in chief of Dark Reading in an article announcing the winners. “Most importantly, Vectra’s tool allows security teams to identify their most important assets, so that the tool will know to push even a gentle nudge at those systems to the top of the priority list.”
“We work every day to make sure that our solution helps organizations to see through the noise of alerts and to prioritize the threats that can cause real business and reputational damage if an attacker is successful,” said Hitesh Sheth, president and CEO of Vectra Networks. “We are honored to receive this award from Dark Reading and Black Hat.”
